IAGT - Point System Explained

Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar

Good Day Sikandars! Welcome to IAGT Tour. This tour is played based on point systems. The more events you play, the more opportunities you have to improve your standing

In the 2022 season, many players came from behind to win the prestigious Year End Trophy...just like Aamir Khan in the classic Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar Bollywood movie

IAGT Point System Explained

Every IAGT event is an opportunity to earn Participation Points (PP) and Standing Points (SP)

PP is worth 25 points per event and all you have to do is show up at the golf course to collect those points. Acquiring PP is easier than getting the PPP loans (or is it forgiveness of the loan that is the easy part?). Anyway, the more you play, the more PP your earn

Standing Points (SP). Based on players ranking in their flight. The top 15 players based on net score in each flight are awarded SP (see the IAGT Overview deck for SP table). Since we are the cool guys in town, we only take your best 3 SP

For the Final Event, you get to take ALL your PP and 3 BEST SP. Now to make the Finale interesting (climax magnta hai na bhai) the SP for the finale is higher vs the rest of the events (see the IAGT Overview deck for SP table)

The Sikandar will be the one who has the most points at the end of the final event on Sept 10th. Because there can only be one Sikandar (bhai we don't make the rules or do we?), we have ways to break any tiebreaker. More on the tiebreaker when we get close to the date...

Plus each event has $1400 in cash prizes. The top 5 Standing Players in each flight earn freshly minted cash (we actually Zelle it but cash sounds sexy). There is also awards for Closet to the Pin (CTP) for each Par 3 hole. Literally, it's like IAGT we giving away money....

So Sikandars, let's start oiling our bicycle chains (aka golf swings), and let's get ready for the IAGT Tour....
